I even went as far as to competently uninstall CHIRP and reinstall it but I have the same problems. I am out of ideas, has anyone run into this problem? Any ideas how to fix it? I will also note that Windows 10 is not listed as a supported OS on the CHIRP website but I have heard of others using Windows 10 without any problems.

I have been using CHIRP for about 7 months with my UV-5R. It has worked great with no problems until I 'upgraded' to Windows 10. I was running Vista with CHIRP just fine the problems started after I made the switch to 10.
Historically I have been using com port 4, now after the upgrade to 10 I am still using port 4 with the sane data cable I have always used but I am getting this message 'could not open port COM4: [Error 2] The system cannot find the file specified.'
I used my device manager to confirm the cable is in port 4, the cable is in the right port and all the connections to the PC and radio are good but it still will not work. Also after the upgrade CHIRP will not allow me to select a different port. I have a drop down style menu to select what com port I want to use but it is grey and it will not let me select anything other than 4, again it did not do this with Vista.
